Pamela is an attorney at Asonye & Associates. She joined our firm in 2017 and has significant experience representing clients in a variety of matters in labor & employment law, such as whistleblower claims, discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Illinois Human Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act interference and retaliation suits, restrictive covenants, separation agreements, breach of contract, and related labor and employment torts.
Pamela also has significant experience in employment based immigration matters such as H-1Bs (including H-1B Extensions, Cap-Exempt H-1Bs, H-1B Change of Employer, Capped H-1Bs, Concurrent H-1Bs, and H-1B Amendments), J-1 Waivers, J-1 Waiver Extenuating Circumstances Transfers, PERM Labor Certification, I-140 Petitions for Alien Workers, I-140 Change of Employer portability petitions, Employer based I-485 Adjustment of Status petitions, National Interest Waivers, and Employment Authorization Document petitions. Pamela also has significant experience in family based immigration matters such as I-130 Petitions for Alien Relatives, K-1 visas, Consular Processing, I-485 Adjustment of Status petitions, and Advance Parole Document petitions.
Pamela represents clients before the Illinois state courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, and private arbitrators. Pamela has been admitted to practice before the bar of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Sedenia Johnson is the Officer Manager at Asonye & Associates. She has earned her Associates in Applied Science with her major as a Paralegal from Northwestern College in 2009. Sedenia is currently a member of Alpha Beta Gamma, a Business Honor Society.
She currently assists all staff members with various legal tasks and other administrative duties. Sedenia dedicates herself to the law firm of Asonye & Associates and continues to enhance her life activities and education.
